AKL at NYE?

We are doing a quick trip to AKL from 12/28-1/1. Only going to the parks on the 29th and 30th. We want to avoid the masses on NYE, but still want to do something fun. Have thought about driving over to the Boardwalk, as I've heard they have a party out on the village green - but I'm worried the traffic after will be horrendous. Do you think they'll do anything festive at AKL? Any other suggestions?

I have done NYE twice at AKV. Both times Jambo was the place to be with a number of activities and a very good band in the lobby.

Thats good to know - we'll be staying in Jambo. Do they do anything out by the pool?

I do not recall activities at the pool but I wouldn't bercause I did not actually go to it at that time of year.
