AKL and room location

We just returned from AKL on June 21st and we were located in room 2579 on Zebra trail. I read on a thread a post about being farther down the hall being a good thing. I agree with this post. We found the animals to be very plentiful right out our window (we were by the water hole on the Arusha sav) and we didn't have any noise in the hallways at night. We were on the 2nd floor last June just beyond the elevators on Zebra trail and there was a lot of noise in the hallways at night. We liked being farther down the hallway. I brought my pedometer with me and the lobby was 250 steps from our room. We were almost as far down as you can get. For those worried about your location and the distance from the pool and Mara, I wouldn't too much unless there is a medical condition dealing with walking, etc. We loved our room!!
