Akershus or CRT?

Which would you choose for breakfast? We won't be on the dining plan so the number of credits doesn't matter. CRT is only $2 more per person so I'm leaning toward it, but I've heard complaints about the food. What do you think?

We've only done CRT for dinner...but Akershus is wonderful at breakfast. We felt a bit rushed at CRT. The character interaction at Akershus was great. DD 3 was in heaven. The cheese potatoes are great too.

We did Akershus in Oct. this year for Breakfast, I have never been to CRT but Akershus was wonderful, DD2 & DD5 loved it, I was the best mom ever for a few weeks after we got back. We also did 1900 park fare for dinner Cinderella in my DD5 Favorit and it was her bday, dinner was wonderful, she danced with Cindy & the Prince even put on her slipper that had fallen off under the table because it was too big.

We just did both CRT and Akershus in Nov. There are reviews to both in my dining review linked below.

Honestly, we liked CRT better. They did bring the food out very quickly after we ordered, but they did at Akershus, so we didn't feel anymore rushed at CRT than the other. We liked the food better at CRT, and the princesses were a little nicer. There's just something about eating at the castle that makes it special. And I love the stuffed french toast at CRT!

We've only done Akerhus, but the princess interaction was great! The person who was Ariel was so charming. She really took time with the kids too. The food was surprisingly good. My daughter loved the strawberry yogurt on the cold bar.

Akershus has a wonderful breakfast buffet and table served hot food. That's where my vote is placed!

Our lunch at CRT was perfect in every way. If you've never done it, I highly recommend it!

Have you dined in the castle before? If not, pick CRT. Will you be going back to WDW in the future? If not, i'd pick CRT. If you are, will you be doing the DDP, if yes than do CRT.

Do you want a picture with Cinderella? Pick CRT. Do you want a picture with Belle? Pick Akershus.

We've done breakfast both places and I love them both, but I would say if you have a princess-lover, CRT is the way to go. There's a little more show and glitz to it. The food both places is about equal, IMO.

Have fun, no matter which one you use. They're both so much fun!

Thanks for the info everyone. At the moment DD's favorite princess is Cinderella so maybe CRT is the best bet for us.

I just got back this week. I did CRT a few days ago. It was so rushed. We had 8:10 PS. I did CRT back in 2001 and it was such a nicer experience. This time, it was "oh how Princess, now smile, bye bye." Plus it wasn't all you could eat (or if it was, LOL, we weren't offered more food). I was extremely disappointed. Food was good though.

I have done the Norway breakfast, but it's been a few years. No complaints at the time, LOL.
