Akershus Lunch-Do girls dress up?

We have LUNCH reserved for Akerhus as our morning time will be spent touring. I know my 5-year-old isn't going to want to wear a dress all morning but should I bring one with me for her to change into? If most other girls are in dress-up dresses she'll want to be as well. Who's been for lunch and can attest to dressed up or regular clothes little girls? TIA!

I think you get a mixed bag...she wouldn't be out of place either way.

Yes. Our daughter and several other girls did. It was lots of fun for her.

My daughter didn't dress up, but there were plenty who did. Personal preference. Maybe leave it up to your daughter?

DD dressed up at breakfast and we brought a change of clothes for after when it got hot out.

Some do. Mine didn't. More were in regular clothes than dressed up.

My girls didn't want to do princess dresses - it was very hot. I had them in sundresses. Many were in princess gear, but mine didn't mind not.

As others have said, some do and some don't. We would usually bring a princess dress in a backpack and my DD would change right before lunch, and then again right afterwards. I hope you have a great time!

I don't plan to have my DD in princess gear in September except when we go to 1900 Park Faire for dinner, but that's the same day as MNSSHP. I don't want her to get too hot and uncomfortable the rest of the day.

From what I remember it is about 50/50 for those girls who wore a dress. Maybe even less than 50% since BBB is not in the park.

You won't stand out either way, do whatever feels right.

For our trip, the Dads & Grandpa are taking a 13, 12 & 9 year olds to Akershus for breakfast. The girls are going to do buns with tiaras & hair glitter with regular clothes.
