Akershus for lunch or dinner

Hi all, just wondering how lunch and dinner are served at Akershus.

I have seen the menu online and that it notes options for the main course. Is there a platter that comes to the table w/ deli meats and salads, followed by an entree picked by each person, followed by a dessert tray with three things?

Thanks for clarifying this for me. Also, if you have done more than one meal here, which did you like best? We really enjoyed breakfast, but want to try lunch, or dinner next time.

Almost. At breakfast they bring a plate of food to your table but at all three seatings you get a traditional Norwegian koldtbord or 'cold buffet' with lunch meats, cheeses, breads, pasta salads, etc. For lunch and dinner you get your appetizers from the buffet and then your entrees are ordered and brought to your table. Dessert is a tray served to the entire table, from which you can order more if you want.

At lunch the Appetizers are at a small buffet that you can visit as many times as you care to. Entrees come out like conventional table service as does the dessert sampler.
We enjoyed Akershus. The food was better than we hoped it would be, but in the end it was all about the Princesses. Daddy liked the Carlsberg beer too
