Is there much of a difference between the Akershus breakfast or lunch? We are mostly interested in the Princess experience (my daughter is hoping to see Belle), but it would be nice to hear some opinions about the food.....

Thank you.

The Akershus breakfast was one of the best meals we had out last trip. DH insisted on going there again next time. He is still asking for the potato casserole 4 months later.

We went for lunch. The food was very good...appetizer was buffet and meal was from a limited menue. Belle was the greeting princess for pictures. Ariel was at our lunch. It was a very good experience and we would do this over CRT again.

I'm glad to hear a positive review of the lunch. We're going to switch our ressie (to get the day we wanted, we needed to take lunch instead of breakfast). Thank you!

We went for lunch two years ago (not to see the princesses, DH wanted to try the food). It was okay...I doubt we'd go back because it wasn't something that grabbed us. I had their traditional meal (I forget the name) which is like a meat loaf and didn't care for it. DH didn't care for his meal, but loved the salads and the dessert. I believe breakfast is more typical American food.

We went for lunch in September and it was the best experience of our 10 day trip. Not only were all the princesses (Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine and Aurora) great, but we were pleasantly surprised with the food.

The cold buffet is all you can eat. It had a typical green salad with dressing, some different types of salads - like a shrimp salad, macaroni salad, and then some other more norweign style foods. All of it was pretty tasty. My kids were able to get hot dogs, so they were happy. I got an open faced salmon sandwich which was fabulous. For dessert we got a rice pudding, school bread and flourless chocolate cake - served family style.

It was a wonderful experience. Definitely worth a trip in my book! :goodvibes
