Akershus - Credit Card Guarantee?

So I just made two reservations for Akershus breakfast
for our family of five (one on Dec 4th, the other on Dec 8th -- don't flame me - I plan on cancelling one of them once we decide which one we're going to go to).

Anyway - I had my credit card out and ready but the online system never asked me for my credit card number for a guarantee! Is this becaused I plugged my resort reservation number into the system so it knows it's our family?? Or are we going to get to the restaurant and be turned away because we actually DON'T have reservations? Although, I do have confirmation numbers...

Just wanted to see if anyone else was able to make a reservation for Akershus without using a credit card guarante...

It took mine for the princess story book breakfast. I suppose as long as you have the confirmation number you should be ok. Anywhere you look for booking there it says credit card needed. Huh? wonder why it didn't ask? Anytime I have booked there a credit card Was necessary.

I have had to put in a credit card every time I have booked at Akershus, it did link it to my reservation so no charge will be made unless we don't show.

Only certain restaurants require credit card information. If one of the restaurants you booked requires it, you won't be able to complete the reservation and you won't get a confirmation number until you enter the credit card information.

I booked it online and it was required to hold the reservation. I called to change dates and was required again to provide a CC # to hold the reservation. I just did this two weeks ago but things may have changed.

That's why I was so confused. It let me book the reservation (and gave me a confirmation number) and, not once did it ask me for my credit card information...

When I booked it in June for my SEpt trip, I had to give my credit card, and it had that it was a credit card guarantee. Akershus is one that is a credit card is required. I doubt that because your Reservations were linked that it wouldn't ask for your credit card as I had my linked. I would call and ask, but I think you are safe since you have a confirmation #. Just be ready with your credit card.

Could just be a glitch in the system.
I just booked Akershus a couple of days ago...and you do need a credit card *hold* for this restaurant. Your CC will not be charged unless you don't show up or fail to cancel within 48 hours of your reservation time. The online booking system can be a little unpredicatable at times so you probably just got lucky not having to put in a CC number because of a glitch in the system.

We just made our ADRs yesterday and we too are doing the Akershus breakfast. For the life of me I can't remember if we put a cc # down to hold, but we did get a confirmation number. I do remember paying for our CRT dinner ADR at time of booking .

Oh, maybe I gave wrong information for on-line booking at Akershus. Our only experience was when we were already on property and I called to see if they had any lunch reservations open for while we were still there. They did have one available for the day I wanted and they booked it and did not ask for a credit card (but they knew that I was checked in as a resort guest). Sorry if I gave wrong info.

On the other hand, I was astonished yesterday morning when I was able to book CA Grill for our December trip. I was not asked to give a credit card for that although I know every previous time that I checked it did say that was required for CA Grill. I was told that if we were no shows we would be billed $20 each. We will again be on property so they know how to bill us. That information was also included in the details that were printed on our emailed confirmation list of all the ADRs I made.

It appears as if they did some sort or upgrade to the online system, and if you have the disney dining and you link your reservation to your dining it no longer asks for a CC # when you book here, it also appears to have fixed the problem of charging for your reservation at CRT.. wish they could have done this a week ago
