AK Villas Conceirge Question

Looking at renting points to stay at AKL Killamangero Concerige Club. Is that a Savannah view? If not, what type of view is it?

Concierge Level at AKL/AKV can have either a pool view or savanna view.

There are very few AKL coneirge DVC rooms (5- 2 bedroom units that can be split into 5- studios and 5- 1 bedrooms). I would suggest making arrangements for a AKV owner to try and get you in before the 11 month window opens.

You can request a view but it is not guarenteed. I wouldn't book it for the view from what I have heard. I would suggest getting a savannah view room if you want a good view.

The DVC Concierge views are not the reason to book Concierge.

The views are obstructed by a low hanging roof and the animals on the Savanna side are nothing special to look at, some birds and a big cow.

Not quite true. The savanna is Sunset savanna, and it has everything from giraffes to ankole cattle, and ostrich and zebra etc. etc. The problem is, the concierge level rooms are in the corner of the 6th floor under the roof overhang. Not much of a view, and the animals tend not to frequent that corner because the road access for the animal keeper staff is in that area. We have seen giraffes in that corner, but not often.

Concierge stay with DVC shouldn't be for the view, but for the service and the chance to book the special tours. We like having the lounge right there, but we would never book conceirge for the view....As stated earlier, the best views are in a savanna view room specifically booked that way.

We have stayed there twice and the same animals were also there. There may be an occasion where some other animal my visit the dead end but I don't like to give false hope to our fellow DISers.

Many people think that staying at AKL/V will give them access to view hundreds of wild animals. In February we were talking to a family who were staying at Kidani. They wanted to know what section to request next time so that they would have elephants outside their room.
