AK - Use EMH or go on an off-day?

Hi everyone!

For our first day at WDW (a Monday) I was thinking about avoiding MK because many people start their vacations on Monday and probably head straight for the MK. AK has EMH on that day, so I was thinking about doing that for the first part of the day and getting the Safari, FOTLK, and some other popular attractions under our belt. But I have seen comments on other boards that AK is a mob scene on EMH days, especially the Safari.

What would you do: go to AK on EMH day or avoid it altogether and head to MGM or EPCOT? We will be going in mid-May (two weeks before Memorial Day), if that makes a difference.

We went to AK on EMH in November (I know, not quite May but it's all I have to compare).

We are very glad we did because we were able to ride KS twice in a row without waiting much at all.

Yes, it looks like a mob scene in the beginning. There are people all over waiting to follow the Mickey and His Friends Bus for the opening. But......they were really prepared and had a LOT of safari cars waiting.

All in all, it was well worth it for us to go to EMH at AK.
