We have a day in our trip where the plan is to spend the morning at Animal Kingdom and then the afternoon in Epcot... Any suggestions for a place to eat lunch???

We were thinking of taking the bus from AK to the Boardwalk and then trying a place there (ie Flying Fish, the brew pub, ESPN), then walking to Epcot... Or perhaps one of the resorts in that area...

I don't think the Flying Fish is open for lunch. ESPN is a good choice. They serve burgers, etc. DH swears the wings are the best anywhere. There are also a lot of really good restraunts in World Showcase.

The FF is closed at lunch.

You have a good idea taking the bus to the BW area from AK. But! It does not HAVE to be the BW bus. Look out for the BC or YC buses also. The BC bus will actually drop you closer than the BW bus.

Lunch! I love lunch!

I would also eat in the WS at Epcot, not at the Boardwalk. The ESPN club is OK at best. I would choose something that the whole family loves in WS and eat there. My family loves to get the take out Bratwurst at Germany (they also have sandwiches) and take it out by the lake and eat on the bench... of course, we always have a beer with it too

If you like fish and chips, go to Gt. Briton or England (whatever they call it) and get the take out fish and chips then go down to the little sitting area they have by the lake.

Those are just my suggestions. Whatever you do, don't go to ESPN club when there is so much to eat and do in Epcot IMHO.

Good Luck

Which of the WS places will have a quiet atmopshere, where we feel like we are away from the hustle of WDW???? The only places we have ate at the WS are Mexico and Canada, thought Mexico was a zoo (but a nice setting) and Canada was great, but we would like to try something else...

And we do like ESPN, perhaps because its a little cheaper than the WS places and much more quiet usually...

The last 2 trips to WDW we hopped from AK to Epcot in the early afternoon and lost 1 1/2 hrs in transit as the crowds leaving at that time filled 2 or more busses. I don't know if this is a normal thing, but this Nov. we'll take WDW transportation foe everything else but drive to and from AK.

we were there Aug/Sept of this year and did the same thing. We ate lunch/dinner in Epcot twice. First we ate in Mexico at1:30 to be exact. The food was awesome!! Next time we ate in Germany at 3:30pm. The food was also awesome!! The reason why I told you the time is because both places it was empty. Especially in Germany, we had a light snack in the ak and ate a late lunch early dinner in Germany. I would check out both menus.

We've had lunch at Chefs de France and it was very good. Beautiful restaraunt with excellent service. DH had French onion soup and the veggied sandwich and I had quiche.

If you want a quick lunch try sitting at the bar at the Rainforest Cafe in AK - we ate their twice in May and at different times of the day-you don't need a reservation just walk up and sit down - the bartenders were far more attentive than waiters we've had there. If you are, however, intent on eating at or near the EPCOT area you might enjoy Coral Reef - its so cool and quiet in there and so far removed from all the noise from the outside. There is something very peaceful about watching fish too!

Enjoy!!!:smooth:
