AK parade then diner at 50's Prime Time?

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to watch the 4:00 parade at AK and make it to 50's Prime Time Cafe by 5:35 PS if we are using our own car? I think that it is almost impossible. Any comments will be helpfull.

I think you could do it. We did something very similar back in February. Except we went to Sci Fi Dine In. Just make sure you watch the parade where it begins since it takes awhile to wind around the park. The parade takes maybe 15 minutes and then if you drive yourself. You will be cutting it close though so you would have to hustle. Also, I was told back in February that they will hold your ps for 15 minutes. This happened one day when we got turned around going to Chef Mickey's. I called the dining number from my cell phone to say we would be late and she told me they hold them for 15 minutes. We made it maybe 10 minutes late and there was no problem.

I also think it's possible. We always have a car and drive to dinners. Mostly to the resort ones though. You'll having to account a little extra for park parking and extra walking, but I think it usually only takes about 20 minutes max to get from the further points of Disney like AK to a distance of MGM. (Unless you get lost!!! ).

We've done that one too, but always did OK. Stand either at the beginning of the parade so that you're the first to be over with making sure you can make an "escape" and not have to cross in front of the parade, big no no, or right by the gate for a quick getaway. Just don't "block" yourself in. Should be able to do it, if the parade only lasts 15 minutes, you've got 1 hour and 20 minutes to make it.

I don't think it would be that difficult. Just make sure that you watch the parade from the area next to where the Oasis meets Discovery Island and be ready to get to the parking lot when the parade is done. It will take you about 20-30 minutes to exit the park, get to your car, drive to MGM, park, and enter MGM. To me, this is doable.

I agree with it being doable. I think the only long part will be getting to and from your car in the parking lot.

Parade is only about seven minutes long (at least that is what the CM told us when she stopped us and wouldn't let us continue into the park to safari ride). With your own car I think you could definitely do it.
