Where do you get these?

DISNEY'S ANIMAL KINGDOM
MEAL PLUS CERTIFICATES

Just curious where you get these and are they worth it?

Guests ages 12 and up $11.99

Guests ages 3-11 $5.99

Certificate is good for:

One counter service entree plus a beverage at any of the following: Animal Kingdom
counter service restaurants:
Restaurantosaurus, Flame Tree Barbecue, Pizzafari, Tusker House.
One box of popcorn or an ice cream bar
One bottled drink (soda or water)

I was thinking of going to Restaurantosaurus but if my son had a happy meal it's only:

McDonald's Happy Meal includes four chicken McNuggets, fries with child's size beverage and a premium toy $3.79

and does anyone know what a PREMIUM toy is?

Thanks for the info.

You can get them right at the restaurant. We got them in October at Restaurantosaurus. You can only get the nugget happy meal for the kids meal deal. So if you get the meal deal you get the 2 coupons for a drink and an ice cream for an extra $2.20. Premium toy? I didn't think so and neither did my DS2 and DS4. They got a plastic dinosaur that squirted water. It's worth it if you are going to get an ice cream and the drink after.

My DH and I bought adult certificates and shared the food with our 3-year-old since she doesn't eat much. Funny how she was able to eat ALL of the ice cream, though.:)

The selections available at Tusker House, Flame Tree, and Pizzafari are much better than those at Restaurantosaurus. If you were to get an entree and a large drink at Tusker House (without using Meal+), you would spend more than the price of the Meal+ voucher. It is definitely worth it, especially if you usually get a snack later on in the day.

I'll piggyback what SafariSteve said. Tusker house is a great place to use these vouchers. Not only is the food great but the kids meals are very filling. There is a choice of either mac 'n cheese (better than any place else on property) or a PB&J sandwich. The PB&J used to come on rainbow bread but I'm not sure if it still does. I can't remember what the kids had at flame tree but I remeber t being a great choice as well.

Pizzafari has a great kids meal. It comes with an individual pizza ( about an 8 inch pizza pretty big) a bag of chips and drink. I had bought 2 kid meal pizzas for my kids DD4, DS2 and DD2 and had almost pizza left over. It was very good and filling. ( I had to try it because it looked so good and could not see it going to waste). This kids meal was a great value for $5.99 with an ice cream and soda later. I actually got this meal and then walked to tusker house where my DH was getting our lunch and it worked out great!

When I take my kids and we spend all day at AK, and it is very hot, they are worth it! The drinks and ice cream later are much needed! However, when my DH and I just went, we didn't stay in AK all day (he was desperate to get to TOT that day), and we were freezing. We weren't there long enough to use the extra coupons and even if we were, I was way too cold to think about ice cream (and not in the mood for popcorn).
