AK in the late afternoon with no FP

So we are considering heading to AK after a 1\2 day at HS. The problem is that we will have used our 3 FP at HS. Is it feasible to do AK in the afternoon with no FP? I should mention we will be there during a very busy week.

I guess it depends on what you want to do and see. You probably could take in a show. All are excellent and have ample seating. The walking trails would be do-able. Rafiki's Planet Watch too.

You could also visit a kiosk yo get EE FP, Dinosaur, Primeval Whirl. Depending on the temps, the Safari may not be that great. My understanding is the animals are less active, but we always ride first thing, so I don't have personal experience.

I just love AK, so I'd go and see what you can do.

I have heard that AK slows down in the afternoon because it always has an early closing time. I was there last year on good Friday & definitely felt my fp's were wasted, no lines for anything.

We have done that our last 2 trips with FP+ at the AM park, including just last week. EE, Dinosaur (whose SB line looked really long), and maybe Kali still had FP+, but Safari didn't have any when we arrived. Posted SB wait times weren't bad, except for Dinosaur and Safari. The waits still weren't as bad as the rides at MK. Starting about 4pm, people left and lines started getting shorter until closing.

The park really empties out by late afternoon. Last June, my kids were able to ride Everest 6 times in about 45 minutes at 4 pm. I stopped after 3 trips.
We had a jeep to ourselves a couple of times around 5.
Kali keeps a longer line late as folks do like to wait until later in the day to get wet.
One drawback was the Safari, where we had to wait several minutes for enough guest to arrive to fill the truck. They don't like to send those out partially full.
