Hi has anyone had there wedding reception at AK Festival of the lion king???
just wondering about the start times as I cannot speak to a disney planner yet, my wedding is not within their 16months. so was wondering if it's possible to. Have the AK reception and then a desert buffet at epcot with the fireworks... Any info would be great thanks
:cheer2:

i haven't come across any PJs with the FOTLK reception... but i know that it's offered. the start times would be after the park is closed, maybe a little after since they would have to set up, so you're at least looking at 7pm... maybe later depending on the season. illuminations at epcot is at 9pm so that wouldn't give you time to finish your reception then transport over there. have you considered the dessert party as a welcome party/rehearsal party?

I remember seeing one a few years ago. I just checked and it was on www.disneybrides.com (a private forum). I'll PM you the information on the thread. There isn't too much on the actual TR, but she had information on her PJ and several pictures after coming back from her VR trip. :simba:

Here is a link to a PJ of someone who had their VR there: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1530992

Her reception couldn't start until 10 pm in June. Either way, I don't think you'd be able to do an AK reception with an Epcot dessert party due to the logistical challenges. We are doing an epcot dessert party as a welcome party the night before the wedding.
