We plan to be at AK this Friday the 31st and am looking to see what CS lunch options there are. Is Tusker House still a buffet for about $20. Flame Tree Barbeque looks good but wasn't planning on being near there at lunch time. Is it worth changing my day around for it. Any other suggestions?

Tusker House is now a buffet and is a TS, not a CS.

If you are on the dining plan, your options are: Flame Tree, Pizzafari, Anandupur Food Cafes (Yak & Yeti CS), or Restaurantosaurus. If your plan is to be in the Africa area, the closest CS appears to be Pizzafari.

For table service, the only options inside the park are Tusker House buffet and Yak & Yeti. Rainforest Cafe is located just outside the park gates - but they don't take the dining plan if you're on it.

We really enjoyed the Yak and Yeti counter service a few weeks ago when we were there. We shared the shrimp lo mein, kung pao beef and the sweet and sour pork. Plenty of food for the five of us!!

The best thing about Flame Tree is the seating down by the water. The most relaxing outdoor seating at WDW.

The chicken is pretty good but the ribs can be a bit hit and miss. They also have a fabulous fruit place as a healthy alternative.

Maybe I should re-work are plan to be near Flame Tree around lunch. We are going the morning after MNSSHP so we won't be there first thing - not use to planning when I don't have a definite start time.

Flame Tree is pretty centrally located and is also a favorite of ours. Lvoe the ribs and chicken, we rotate which one we get each time

Love to sit down by the water too :)

There just doesn't seem to be very many options at AK for dining (which, to me, seems that even Disney believes it's just a half-day park). I like Pizzafari, mainly because I don't like BBQ. It's not too far from Flame Tree, so our party split up to get food and met back at Flame Tree to eat (they had plenty of seating).

We also like Pizzafari. The food choices are good and everything is tasty IMO. :) The dining rooms are so fun and colorful, if you eat there, take a walk around and look at all of the murals and carvings - they're great!

We like both Flame Tree and Pizzafari. At Pizzafari our favorite is the chicken parmesan sandwich! Yumm-O! Always very tasty. We all get different things at Flame Tree, but have never had a bad meal there.

I'll drink to that. I like both counter service spots as well. The deciding factor for me is if the weather is nice I enjoy eating down by the water at one of the picnic tables behind the Flame Tree, but if it's cold, windy or raining I'd rather eat at the Pizzafari because it's indoors.

Both are good choices.

For table service tho, Yak and Yeti has to be my favorite.
