AirTran schedules

Does anyone know when Airtran publishes their schedules? From the website, it looks like about 9 months at a time. So, now (March) you can buy through November. Does this schedule hold? Will January be opened up in May? Thanks for the infor.

Actually, their schedule only goes until October 4th. I am waiting patiently for Oct 17-22.

Their canned response is that they load the schedule as far out as 9 months in advance or as short as 6 months in advance. They don't elaborate any more than that.

Their last addition to their schedule was only from Sept 7 to Oct 4, so who knows what they are going to do. I would hope the next addition would come soon...

On the other side, Airtran tends to change flight times quite often, so maybe having them wait until the 6 month window will cut down on the number of time changes.....

I can absolutely agree that AirTran loves to make changes in their schedules. We always take the first flight out since they ususally only move this around by a few minutes either way. During the day they sometimes change flights by a little bit, sometimes a whole lot, and sometimes they just cancel a flight. Last June I debated whether to take a 2pm or 4pm flight out of MCO. Since I wanted our last day at WDW to be longer I opted for the 4pm flight. Good thing because they cancelled the 2pm flight. They will send you an e-mail about schedule changes but it comes much after the change. After booking keep on eye on their on-line schedules so you are not caught off guard. Overall AirTran is a very good airline with newer planes and great employees. Just wish they would post a schedule and stick to it.

Airtran is making me nuts! I just need them to load Oct. 10th.....come on airtran.....Even though I am already not happy with them. They have had a direct flight out of our airport at noon 2 days a week for years. All of a sudden the only non-stop flight is at 4:45 pm! We would arrive in Orlando at 8:05 pm there time! Um no! Now we have to switch plane, because I refuse to waist a whole day of my vacation for a late flight, not to mention, it will be my girls bedtime as soon as we get to the hotel!

They need to hurry up and release the rest of October!

AT does not send emails as to flight changes. I've checked my junk emails & put them in my trusted folder but, have only received 1 email change of flights (and that was early last year). Typically, I don't get email conf. of res. I make either - have to go to my account & print a copy. Interestingly enough I do get email confirm of reward point/voucher requests (almost immediately). HA!

Current flight times in June have been changed/eliminated @ least 3 times since I booked in late Nov.

Have eliminated all N/S's except 1/day on PIT/MCO route grrrr.

My June dates were released a little less than 7 months out. Still waiting for mid Oct.
