Check your airtran flights. I just got a $39/ticket credit voucher for Spring Break.

Every little bit helps toward a free ticket!

1/1/11: they dropped another $10/ticket!

Hi Claudia.

I did also, for a January trip, not FL though. Possibly all fares are down.

I wonder if they had some cancellations or something similar for my date. They have adjusted the times 3 times since September.

I check daily, just to find that needle in the proverbial haystack, and got lucky today.

Same here. Our flights to/from LAX at the end of January dropped by $3 today. Hey, $12 is $12! I took the credit.

I wish! I booked a few months ago on the day that the tickets were available. They have only skyrocketed since then. I paid $112 one way and $125 the other way (not including taxes/fees/seat assignments/etc) and now they are stuck at $340 each way. I am happy that I didn't wait, but I would love to see a $79 sale!!!

If I remember correctly, you're flying from Bloomington during spring break, right? My BMI-MCO flight on Thursday, Feb. 24 briefly went down to $89 and then to $84, so I got two credits. The sale dates were only through early March, so it's quite possible that late March-April will have lower fares eventually. On the other hand, with gas prices going up so much - maybe not.

I booked one leg at $116, and just booked the other leg this morning at $147. I think those fares are high, but the rising fuel prices have me jittery. I will keep watching and definitely request a credit if they go down. We are going to be checking at least 4 bags each way, so we'll be out another $170 in bag fees OR $420 to upgrade both legs to Business Class. :rolleyes1 A credit to offset some of that would be delightful.

Make sure to check the gift certificate/a+ credits, available for a few more days. Buy for yourself, future use, and get 1 point per $100. Last year was even better, 2 points per $100. But, if you are flying in the future, or paying for upgrades, etc, it's a no-brainer.

I see that we are both leaving from DFW. In the last week, I was able to get my flight on AirTran but that was after days of stalking the website. Going, it got down to $94 so I jumped on it without purchasing the way back. Then this AM, I was again stalking after 5- 6 days of continuous stalking again ;). And got the flight coming back at $72 per person. Just goes to show that holding out a bit may or may not help. In this case it did :thumbsup2

Of course, like you will have a few bags to check so that will be an extra expense and I did purchase our seats as well for the xtra $6. so many extras.

S'sMom, what dates are you flying? We're leaving 6/3 and coming back 6/18.

Are your flights nonstop? I see some flights for our dates that are less than the ones we booked, but they are connecting flights.

I didn't pay for seat selection, because if we upgrade that would just be lost money. I may regret that. We shall see! :rolleyes1

Hey we are overlapping our stays. :goodvibes

We are flying out 6/14-6/21. They are non-stop. As you know, Airtran, for some reason, only has like one non-stop per day from DFW :confused3. The only thing is that on the way back we do not depart until 8PM, which is fine because I did reserve a "day room" at the MCO Hyatt.

Did you get your tickets within the last week?

I have heard Tuesday is a GREAT day for lower fares. We fly in on a Friday and out on a Saturday. BUT the nonstop flights in May were $62, so that's what makes me think I might have a shot at a credit.

It is kind of a pain that they don't offer many nonstops. We are on that late flight back, too. But we can be in the villa until 11 AM, we'll check the bags through to the airport, then we'll probably give the carry-ons to Bell Services to hold. DH typically doesn't like to go to the parks on departure day so I am not sure what we'll do. I don't want to sit in the concierge lounge for 6 hours between checking out of the villa and getting on Magical Express!

I booked our leg to MCO a couple of weeks ago, and the return this morning. I try to check fares a couple of times a day, so maybe I will get lucky!
