I have been thinking about taking some weekend trips to WDW. Both Airtran and US Air have nonstop flights from CLT to MCO for around the same price. Any advice on which carrier to use?

We flew US Air out of CLT last year. No problems. With CLT being a hub for US Air, you will have options if something happens with your flight. TSA moves fairly smooth.

My family flew from Knoxville to CLT and then on to MCO with US Air a couple of years ago. On our flight to Orlando, our layover at CLT was extended by 1-1/2 hours, which was quite aggravating. BUT on our trip home our flight was delayed by 5 hours at CLT. This was awful!!! On neither day was there weather problems in the Northeast--not sure about elsewhere, but as we watched the news for hours on end, there was no mention of severe weather anywhere. During these delays, our planes were always late arriving, but like I said I am not sure why. Since then, we have flown with Airtran twice and are booked again for September. We had one delay from MCO to Knoxville due to severe weather in northern Florida. This delay was for 1-1/2 hours and our plane was sitting there waiting on us the whole time for the weather to clear. They just let us stay in the terminal without boarding--which I am very grateful for. This was a couple of years ago, so things may have changed.
