Ok, so this is how much of a nerd I am. I just searched all the places to eat at our airport so I know what is available at 5:00 AM! :rotfl:
Looks like I"ll be having a whole wheat pretzel from Auntie Ems and either a Vanilla Frap or a fruit smoothie! LOL
I am so freaking excited I can't help myself!!!
OMG!! And I'm down to single digits!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

Don't feel bad. I guess I am that nerdy too. I looked online to see what food places they have at Atlanta airport, since we have a 1.5 hour layover there. Our flight from home leaves at 7:00 a.m., so I figured we would be hungry once we got there.

Another nerd chiming in...

I used to (before Midwest stopped their daily service to Orlando :sad2: ) look up the menu offerings for our flights so I could decide whether or not I'd buy a meal on the plane and if so, what I would get?

I haven't quite decided if this is Nerdism or a bit of OCD.... :rolleyes1

Well it may not be nerdy but certainly outdated. Unless you are travelling Business or First or Internationally you aren't getting any meals on any flight :)

Actually, that's not true. I was able to purchase meals on Midwest Airlines flights between Milwaukee & Orlando, even a few months ago. ;)

We are always at the airport in CT too early for most places to be open. One small place to get coffee/juice. We have learned and just go to the food store the day before and bring our own muffins or bagels with us. Wrap them in Glad press and seal and they are good to go. While everyone else on the plane is "enjoying" their extremely small bag of peanuts, we are good to go with a nice quick breakfast. Most airlines now offer food for purchase if you want to pay the high price for what they offer. We have even found a wonderful deli in termal B in Orlando and always buy sandwiches for the flight home since we leave usually around 6:15. This past trip we even got dessert from the bakery at the Boardwalk with some leftover snacks on the DDP and the flight attendants were even remarking on how good everything looked.

You are right I forgot about them as they do not fly out of Chicago. However, who know how long even this will last as they are deperately trying to avoid Chapter 11.

Continental still serves meals

I look up info on airports too! Restaurants, wi-fi, security checkpoints, you name it! :)

If you're a nerd, I am a bigger nerd! I not only looked up restaurants at the airports, but researched the "box snacks" that SW airlines serves on longer flights :thumbsup2

Eh, you're not alone. I've already scoped out MCO for where to get something relatively quick for the ME ride to Movies. We leave Providence at 7 a.m., get in about 10 a.m., so that's three hours. And with the ME ride, we're figuring a little over more than an hour, right? And I have to leave my house that morning at 5 a.m.-ish. So I know the terminal has a Starbucks, and hopefully I may be able to run to the Food Court. But I do plan on getting a couple of bagels or muffins from Dunkin' Donuts up here to bring on the plane. Have to eat, ya know??????????????
