Hi - I need some advice on transportation from the Airport to Beach Club Villas. We arrive this Saturday at 9:30AM and we need to make a quick stop at a grocery store for water, diapers etc. for our villa. Last year we waited in line for a cab for over an hour and I would like to avoid that if at all possilbe. Does anyone know of a limo or cab service that we could book in advance. We are not hung up on fancy transportation...I just don't want to wait in line that long again if we could make a reservation. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
Julie

I would highly recommend the board sponsor, FL Tours - we've used them a couple of times in the past and have always been VERY happy with their service.

We've used Tiffany TownCar Service a few times and have been happy with them every time. You can get more info at tiffanytowncar.com. If you decide to use them, make sure you remember to print out the coupon for $5 off.

Did you know that DVC will arange to have a van meet you...there is a cost, and you can stop at the market...call MS :sunny:

You could use DME to get to and from the airport. It would be too late for the luggage tags but you could get your bags yourself. Once at BCV you could take a cab to the crossroads shopping center or else just use some of the online grocery stores or even the DVC shopping list. Just call member services or go online and download the shopping list, fill it out and your groceries are delivered to your room. It's a little more expensive but you will be saving $100 in travel expenses with DME.

Do you know if the coupon is still available? How do I get it? I didn't see it on their website, thanks!

My favorite is Sunray Transportation. Used them for my past 3 or 4 trips. They are excellent and the rates are pretty good with no extras (however gratuity is not included). You can book in advance and pay when you get there.

You can check out my website for my most recent review if you'd like.

HTH!

2 weeks ago we used DME to get to the Beach Club Villas. I was very pleased. We also used wegoshop.com to order and have groceries delivered to our Villa. It went smoothly. They will buy and delivery anything you request. Their delivery fee in about $19, but as someone else mentioned we also saved over $100 in Town Car fees.
We have used a Town Car in the past, and enjoyed it very much. That said, I would use DME and wegoshop.com again.

JGR,

I was reading your post and noticed your location and was wondering JGR doesn't stand for Joe Gibbs Racing does it? I only ask because you are from Lake Norman. I'll be moving down there myself next summer. I really like the area. We will be making a decision in November on exactly where we will live.

It's good to hear about your experience with DME. I was interested in using wegoshop...what do they do with your groceries? We don't arrive into MCO until 8:47 PM. Where will the groceries (frozen, perishables, etc.) be stored until we check in? How do the items stay frozen? I definitely would love to use the shopping service!

What grocery store is at the Crossroads Shopping Center, and do you know how far away it is from BCV? Thanks!

When we used Wegoshop.com, we were able to schedule the delivery to a time after we had checked in. I am not sure how late they will deliver to you, but there is an Email address, and I believe a telephone number, on the website. You can check directly with them.
That said, there is a huge refrigerator/freezer for food storage in the room Bell Services stores your luggage. Things can be kept there waiting for your arrival.
Hope this Helps.
