Airport traditions

We've booked our holiday with virgin holidays so thinking of booking the vroom too. As long as we have time to shop duty free too!

We stay at hotel airport, take breads and cheeses to eat for dinner in our room that night. Then we have the hotel buffet breakfast before heading to check in (usually stay at Hilton but this year changing to Radisson Blu).
After check in and security we have a wonder through duty free and never buy anything! We then head to WHSmith to buy a magazine and some snacks. Then grab a coffee, go to the toilet loads so we are less likely to go on the plane and the hang around by the gate ready for boarding!

At Newcastle airport there isn't really a lot to do. Once we've checked in we would usually get a bacon sandwich and DBF will have a coffee. Then go to WH Smiths to get some sweeties and some bottles of water.

Then we have a very long wait

Magazine water and snack from smiths seem to be pretty standard!

I HAVE to visit the toilet at least 3 or 4 times before the flight! The thought of using the aeroplane toilets more than necessary during the flight is enough to make me need to go at the airport.
