Can anyone tell me of a good deal on parking at O'hare? Any coupons?
I've checked out a couple places online and I'm seeing rates for 10 days of about $100. I was hoping I could cut this cost down. We are traveling from Milwaukee area and flying out of O'hare since it was cheaper. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

The best deal that we got was from the Hotel Sofitel at Rosemont. For $109 a night (it was a park-n-fly deal or something), we got to stay at the hotel and then leave our car in the parking garage for up to two weeks. Plus, they provided free shuttle service to the airport. Worked great for our 7am flight when going on our honeymoon - they even left us a huge fruit basket in our room, either as part of the deal or as a wedding night gift.

If you have an earlier flight, this might be worth considering. Otherwise, $100 for 10 days sounds like a GREAT deal for parking anywhwere near O'Hare.

O'Hare has three parking types that we know of on site. Cheapest is Kiss and Fly. It is a remote parking lot that costs about $13/day at a 10 day rate. You park your car and then catch a bus that runs every 5 minutes to the parking lot monorail station. The monorail system will then deliver you right to the front door of the ticket agent for your airline.

The main parking lot is closer to the airport, but you will have lots of walking through the parking lot levels and levels and hallways of the airport. Believe it or not we actually found this more difficult to navigate because the signage isn't very good and I think we actually did more walking than remote parking! With the remote parking you walk only from your car to the bus stop (which is very short)!
Main parking costs $30/day.

The other parking is valet...and we haven't gone there!

Hope this helps...

Actually, there are "secret passageways" that not many travelers, except frequent flyers, know about that make the main parking at O'Hare incredibly easy to navigate. But if you do the elevator to the basement route, then main parking is absolutely a pain in the butt!

If you do a google search for o'hare parking you will find a number of lots considerably cheaper than the on-site lots. They all include a free shuttle to your gate area. I've never had a problem with any of these companies.

we went thru a website called park and fly. Got a nice hotel for less than parking with a shuttle to the airport

Actually, if you park in the E lot for Kiss n' Fly, you won't need to take the buss to the tram, you can just walk! I do this all the time. Sometimes E lot gets full though...

Thanks again everyone for the info. I did "google" parking at O'Hare and was able to secure a rate of $84 for my 10 days of parking at the Ramada Plaza Hotel. We don't have to stay at the hotel--we can just pay the parking. They have shuttles departing every 15 min. so I think we will be ok. I think this trip is going to feel a bit like "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" (one of our favorite movies) as we will be driving to Chicago from Milwaukee--parking the car--shuttling over to the airport - hopefully make the plane with a 1 1/2 hr. window and arrive in Orlando at 1:11 am Yikes! Stay at the Marriott at the airport overnight--rent our car in the morning and off to Cocoa Beach for 4 days before making our way to Disney (POP) for the remaining 5 nights. Oh, how we love adventure! :earboy2:

Also, you can try Airport Discount Parking. This will point you to Avistar, one of the off-site lots. It enables you to print a coupon, which is for 1 free day's parking plus $9.95 per day after that.

What's nice about Avistar (and probably some of the other off-site options) its that THEY park the car for you. When you come back, you call Avistar when you get off the plane, and they will have your car pulled up, warmed up and waiting for you when the shuttle bus gets you there. All in all, a good deal!

Hi Martha Jr  .

We did this last january Flying TED airlines. I save 500 vs flying out of MKE. Drive time on a Friday eveninfg was 1hr 45 min to Ohare Remote parking. The only real traffic congestion was at Ohare so you can add that into your "shuttle factor". I had planned on going to Avistar but after a test run I found the remote lot to be much more convienent. However we were only going for 5 days. From the "brains I picked" at Ohare the lots can fill up and traffic can be horrible during peak times.

PM me if I can help
Sue

Dh and I decided to hire a limo for our upcoming trip....it's only going to cost us $140 round trip with a limo versus $130 to park at O'Hare for 10 days. I'll pay the extra 10 bucks because I think parking at O'Hare is a nightmare especially because we have 3 kids....
