Airport Hotels: Ever stay at the Hyatt or Sheraton Suites?

I am trying to decide between two airport hotels and was wondering if anyone had comments about either place. I can get the Sheraton Suites near the airport for about $85 or the Hyatt in the airport for about $112. We are arriving around 8pm at night (with a 4 year old) and think it would be worth the extra cash for the convenience to stay at the Hyatt.

I stayed in Sheaton Suites, $50 PL. It was a 2 room suite with a full wall and door connecting the living room with the bedroom. Bedroom had 2 beds and the living room had a sofabed. There was a refrig, sink, microwave and coffee pot.

We got in after 11:00p, at 8:00p I'd be tempted to go right to Disney. At the prices you quoted I'd stay in the Hyatt but my decision might be different with a child.

The Hyatt was very nice, but we did get in much later. However, you can't beat the convience of the Hyatt!

We love the Hyatt! We go down a day early to stay there and rest up for our first full day at WDW or before a cruise. With two smaller children it's always been so convenient. If they get bored we go to the pool, watch planes or walk around the shops in the terminal. Lots of stuff to do, lots of places to eat and again, you can't beat the location after a flight. Definitely worth it in our book!! Good luck!

Luckymommy,

Did you have a problem with airport noise and are the rooms small?

We have stayed at the Sheraton suites on the night before our early morning flight. It was wonderful for us as we could put our son to sleep while we shut the door and did all of our re-packing.

The rooms are very nice with lots of room....

Hyatt rooms are good size and I was pretty amazed at how quite it was. I don't recall hearing a plane at all.

We stayed at the Hyatt last year when we were bumped from Delta. I loved it. We had a room overlooking the inside of the Terminal. I never heard any noise. The convenience was great. I would definitely recommend the Hyatt.

No, we never had a problem with noise. Other than when the 747's and 777's landed, we never heard anything. We always request a runway view because we love to watch the planes land and take off, especially at night. I have heard that the interior rooms (they have a balcony that looks out over the inside of the main terminal) can be noisy. Some complain that the fountain is really loud, others said that the people can be loud during busy times. The rooms are pretty typical in size and the balcony was fine. If you have any more questions just let me know!

Here's what the interior rooms' view would look like...

Here's the link to the Hyatt MCO's website. You can take virtual tours or flip through still photos. You can even see sample menus. Hope this helps!

We stayed there last May after our cruise, it was great. We only paid $40 something through PL, very convenient, clean and I don't recall hearing anything. I don't have any knowledge of Sheraton but I would say the Hyatt was worth $112.
