Hi there,

We need a recommendation for a hotel close to the airport for 1 night, before we head to a 5 night stay at Cypress Pointe. We won't be there for long, so it does not need to be fancy. The Days Inn by the airport has a great deal for $42 Cdn for a night, but I have read horror stories on tripadvisor. Anyone have any personal experiences there?
Thanks!

We haven't stayed at the Days Inn but we stayed at a La Quinta very near the airport a couple years ago. Nothing fancy of course but we just needed to sleep ans shower. It was very clean, not noisy, and convenient to the airport. At that time they offered a "continental breakfast" free (which is basically coffee, fruit, bagels, and some cereal but...) I know we got it cheap but not sure of the rate now. Worth a check though.

Can you Priceline a hotel? I always do this when staying at the airport, regardless of the city. We stayed at one of the MCO hotels thru Priceline once, paid $35 plus tax for a 3*. Usually you are pretty safe Pricelining an airport hotel, unless you won't have a car and the hotel doesn't have a shuttle...but how much can a cab cost? Go to biddingfortravel.com and see what they say about Orlando Airport hotels.

I just used priceline today for our one night stay. We are arriving at 11:00 pm on March 23rd and ended up with the Hyatt Regency at the airport. This works out wonderful for us because all we will have to do is get our luggage and then head up to the hotel. No shuttles to worry about that late at night. This hotel is a 3* hotel and we got it for $65.00. Looking at their website the rooms are going for $175 so I feel like it was a good deal.

Good luck with your decision :jumping4: :jumping4:

Thanks for your repsonses! Not sure if Canadians can use Priceline or not... I may have to investigate that further. We decided against the Days Inn based on the negative reviews. I want a good nights sleep without having to worry too much about cleaniless and feelings of unsafety. Right now, I found the rate of $80 Cdn taxes incl for the Best Western, so we are considering that option. Mary, your deal sounds great! We arrive at 12:30am on March 23, so the Hyatt would work for us as well!
