Can anyone recommend an airport hotel with free shuttle which also includes breakfast. We will be arriving late in the evening so dont want to be too far out. Thanks

There are several; I just used Google Maps. There’s a group of properties: Springhill Suites, Residence Inn, Embassy Suites, etc... that in normal times offer free breakfast. I’ve stayed at the Renaissance once and got club level since DH is Marriott lifetime titanium.

I’d look at Expedia (but I always just use that for reference then book direct).

So we wanted cheap clean and safe.. we stayed at
Days inn mco. On priceline we got the room for 38.00.
They stopped the shuttle service so we took an uber it was $9.00
The staff was really nice, room was really clean and no people hanging outside etc.
What ever hotel you pick call about the shuttle, this hotel says they have one but that was prior to march of 2020

Most hotel breakfasts now are in a bag ... not what you are thinking precovid
This Covid thing has taken away so much enjoyment. I wonder if the breakfast buffets offered at hotels are going to be a thing of the past. Many people do not like buffet style dining anyway. My family happens to like them. Especially breakfast at Golden Corrals. There are going to be lots of permanent changes after Covid that I am going to miss.

In December we stayed at a Best Western in Tallahassee. Their breakfast consisted of pretty much the same items as before - scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, oatmeal, etc. - but a staff member was on duty to serve each guest. The only items we could pick up ourselves were bananas and boxed cereals.

Buffets are actual cheap/less cost for the hotels/restaurants than normal food/table service.
So I think when things return to normal they won't go away.

What will never come back are probably the free notepad and pen in the hotel rooms.

The area near the airport is a little sketchy for some reason
There are weird aggressive itinerant people asking for money at the Wawa gas station and there was a guy sleeping on the sofa at the lobby entrance of the Homewood Suites.

It's weird but I only see it here and not on I Drive or WDW area/lake buena vista/192.

So the airport area doesn't have the Magic.

Don’t know but I doubt it. Plenty of places in the airport to eat.

I agree. There's a whole food court. The convenience of the Hyatt MCO makes it worth sacrificing any free breakfast some other hotel might offer. It is incredibly convenient if a late flight is delayed.
We were scheduled to fly down on a Friday night at 9 pm and due to arrive 11:30pm. This after a full day of work/school. We felt it was worth it to wake up in FL with a good night's sleep.
There were t-storms along the whole east coast that wreacked havoc on flight schedules. We didn't take off until after midnight, arrived at 2 am. We were so happy to just stagger to our room. They'll even fetch your luggage and bring it up to your room. We didn't opt for this but it's available, or it was pre-covid.

Stayed at Staybridge Suites Tuesday night. Appreciated the suite aspect after spending 10 nights in a Saratoga Springs studio.

Your price may vary, we paid $110 with taxes. Breakfast bag included Jimmy Dean sausage/egg/cheese on bagel, cereal, 2% milk, blueberry muffin, yogurt, apple juice, and an orange.

I have done this at home several times as we usually seem to have obscenely early flights. Even though we are only about 30 min away from our airport, we can be on the road before 4 am when the airline is instructing us to be there 3 hrs before a flight. The older I get, the more stressful I find getting up, showering, and do the final check around the house in the wee hours. DH is a total zombie at that hour.

It’s been great to finish the pre-departure housework, load up and ride out for a relaxing evening in one of our nice airport hotels. A quick shower and shuttle to the airport in the morning and we are good to go.

Unfortunately, our flights are always too early for us to enjoy the hotel breakfast but the hotels generally have coffee, muffins and some fruit available to take along. It is a great way to start vacation.

I’d stay In the airport at Hyatt. It’s immaculate, Safe and super easy and convenient. You are taking a chance with safety ( it has seriously gotten sketchy) and with potential time issues..additional safety issues with a taxi or Uber, why bother? The pool and the restaurant are good, by the way. There are plenty of food places within the airport fast food and restaurants all at ur fingertips. It’s also a pretty cool airport as far as grabbing items, gifts etc
Enjoy.. wherever you choose.

I have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express with free shuttle. I do not remember which one it was but it was convenienty located.

I recommend the Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando Airport. Under normal circumstances, ES offers a great breakfast, with a buffet & made-to-order omelets. I am of the understanding that they are serving a limited breakfast now- worth an inquiry.
The hotel is close to the airport (no more than a 10 minute ride) and is not in a "sketchy" area.

Actually that is the same "sketchy" area the Homewood Suites is across the road from Embassy Suites and the Wawa is further down that main road.
