Hi Hon

I don't know what is up with the cake mixes,,, I went tonight to pick up an order for the Food Bank and
when we tried imputing 20 boxes it rang up 20 @ $2.49 $49.80 ,,which is correct,,, BUT

It came up 90 Airmiles...???? (we did try 4 different types). Sprinkles, Chocolate Fudge, Carrot, and Lemon.
(The actually food price tags all stated the cake mix type --$2.99 price and the blue Airmiles 75 Airmiles logo.)

Two cashiers later they just ended up giving me 375 manually receipt says *Make it right*.. I thought they would take the 90 off but they said they couldn't do that??
Oh well 90 extra miles is good for me.

Oh and it was my *favorite* Sobeys manager who normally hates anything to do with Airmiles that credited me the Airmiles,, I just about fell over in shock...
she normally goes on break when I enter the store.

The "make it right" is fine when you just want the Air Miles but not so fine when you need it for one of your offers in the Bonus Boom.

It's a good heads up to avoid the $2.99 mixes if you want the Bonus Boom offer credit.

I actually found this one very easy.

BMO card, Global Pets, Shell gas, Sobeys (chili sauce, cake mixes, toaster strudel), Metro soap.

When I was at Sobeys, I noticed they had two different AM offers on the cake mixes - the 75/4 was only the expensive ones, and then there was a 30/6 or something similar for the cheaper ones. So I made sure I had 4 of the more expensive ones to get the BB miles.

I stopped at sobeys on my way home from Brampton and picked up the Liberte desserts for hubby and went by the sign on the shelf that stated buy 2 get 50 miles and it printed on the receipt. This store is great with signage and as shown in the picture it's good for the full 2 weeks. HOWEVER the coupon states buy 4. So did I need to buy 4 or 2? If the coupon in fact is for 4 that works out to 100 or 150 miles??

I encountered the same issue. Since those desserts are so expensive, there was no way I was buying 4!

That's a tough one. An offer they likely hope to trip people up with. 4 individual desserts for 50AM? (2 packages of 2 for 50AM) or 4 packages of 2 desserts? Keep your pictures, you have a good argument in your favour.

I can't decide how much effort to put into this one as most of the offers at Sobeys are the same as last time and how much Chili or BBQ sauce do I need? I can do the Shell offers - gas, lottery, cash in miles and non gas purchases for 4 and cash in 95 miles at Sobeys for 5 offers so now just have to decide what other Sobeys offers I can do. Maybe I will do an online shop and 1 more Sobeys offer then I will get the 7 offers.
I don't need any soap from Metro as I stocked up at Bath & Body Works when the store near me opened and soap was cheap.
I guess I could get the popcorn since I was told the other day that we needed some.
Oh well I have another week to finish.
I will have to see how my Sister is doing with her card and I will do the Shell one on the other card I have to do for 4 offers. We use alot of gas in this house as my nephew drives from Ajax to Bolton every day for work so he fills up every other day. Some day he takes his car and other days he takes our car so we takes turns paying for the gas.

Nope at the Ajax Sobeys. I did find some Washington apples but there weren't the correct ones and I wouldn't have bought them since they were 10.99 for a bag of apples. Nope nope nope

It says no on the website but who knows since the 5x doesn't show on the receipt.

I really hate that the 5x doesn’t show on the receipt because then you don’t know if it worked or not. I spent over $100 last weekend but have no idea if the offer was triggered or not.

Agree. The more they can do to make Air Miles more transparent, and post more quickly, the better!

I always wonder how much collectors lose through the current system. I know my record keeping has gone way downhill over the last few months. I used to recover hundreds of AMs through things that didn't post properly.

And that is something I'm sure Airmiles counts on. The # of collectors who call and follow up on missing miles is so small. Bonus for the program.

I know, recently, I can't be bothered to follow up on the odd posting from Metro that doesn't work. I just don't have the mental energy to argue for a small $ amount of miles.

I wonder if the status of the coupon has changed. I know you had to opt in for the 5x and after you opt in it says "ready to use". I wonder if that "ready to use" changes after you use it.

Still says ready to use in the app for me. I don’t think the AM app registers whether used or not like the My Offers does on the Sobeys app.

Agree it's annoying. The only surfire way to prove it is a screen shot once you opt in and then keeping your receipt. It's little things like that which are making the program annoying for me these days (and I used to be a very engaged collector).
