Is it a normal practice for an airline to begin selling a ticket 333 days out at a certain price and have the price drop before it increases or does it usually just increase. I'm not talking about a sale across the board, just normal fluctuations in price.

I'm not interested in the best price for any flight, but a fair price for the time of day I want to fly.

yep sure is! for instance a regualr fare from pit to mco is 241 lowest regular restricted fare. then they have other sales at 196.50, 168.50, 129.50 etc. these change during the months as they put out sales and such. and then when they detail a flight or do schedule changes and switch aircraft around they find they have x amount of seats available on an aircraft and they open those up to whatever sale is going on at that time.

I hope you understood that.
