My sister just got back from visiting my brother at college in Ohio. She flew out of Boston on Friday, I forget the airline. As they were sitting on the runway, the captain came on and said "Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We will have a slight delay here as our brakes did not pass inspection and are going to be replaced. Please sit tight and we'll take off shortly" She said it was about 45 mins later when the captain came on again. "Ladies and gentlemen, this is you captain speaking. I have great news. The planes rotors have also failed inspection and are going to be replaced. It's going to be a while."
The flight attendant then came on and said "I thought you said you had great news?" the captain came back on and said " I do. I just saved a bunch of $ on my car insurance by switching to GEICO!" My sister said the whole plane errupted in laughter and the hour flew by without any incident! How cool is that?

LOL! My personal favourite is flying Southwest because their pilots have a great sense of humour!

The one I really liked was " the smoking section is outside on the wing... take your coat it might be chilly" LOL

Sounds like Southwest

Their pilots are NUTS (not in a god way)

LOL! That is funny!
Could it have been Song airline? We have flown them a couple times and they seem to have a sense of humor. When we landed in Boston early the attendant came over the speaker and said something like "Song signature sandwich...(price), Martini...(price)". We thought they made a mistake and were playing a recording for what they were selling on the flight until she finished with "Landing in Boston 15 minutes early... priceless!". And it was! :D

That is classic - wish I had been on that flight - but I also like Southwest for their humor. Really helps in situations like that. I wish more airlines did that, though I think a couple of others do.

When my wife and I flew out of Orlando on AirTran back in 2002, the pilot played Steppenwolf's Magic Carpet Ride over the plane's PA system before announcing "This is AirTran flight XXXX, your magic carpet ride to Atlanta".

You gotta love an airline with a sense of humor.

more from a Southwest Pilot:

"If you are continuing onto Branson Missouri, please remain aboard. We'll be leaving Tulsa as soon as we get gas and ask for directions." :p
