Can anyone recommend Airline Network over other companies?

I have sourced a 7 seat mini-van through them on the Dollar Platinum package for £650 (21 days). :)

I had already booked the same vehicle (again on DP) through Holiday Hypermarket for £850.
Erm, let me think, shall I cancel and lose my £5 deposit or shall I shell out the extra 200 squid and get brayed off our lass? Difficult one that!!!

Used them last year on trip into Miami. Absolutely fine - no problems at all.

We've been booking flights with them for years but had always bought car hire elsewhere. When I booked the flights last year they asked me if I'd like a quote for car hire, I said OK expecting it to be uncompetitive but was surprised that not only was it the cheapest I found but also it included UMP (Uninsured Motorist Protection), which a lot of other companies have started charging extra for. Having said that, do check what cover you are getting because terms and conditons do vary over time.

I always shop around for my car hire but for the last 2 years (4 trips) we have used airline network, Dollar cars at the airport,I have booked a 7 seat minivan 3rd October all inclusive, extra drivers and a tank of fuel for £355 2 weeks for my sister.
If you are flying to Orlando International, after collecting your cases take the lift downstairs to the dollar desk, the cars are across the road.We hired a mininvan in April 2003 and when we got to the van it did not have the air con vents in the back so I asked the guy in the hut if he had one that did,he said sure and took me round the car park to find another van we looked at about 5 untill I found one I was was happy with,he just said NO PROBLEM if your happy then I am happy.
Now that's what I call service.I have also booked with them for March next year

YES!

Recently back from a trip in August and we had a good deal on a 7-seater.

No problems at all

When are you going ?

I just did a check at www.floridavehiclehire.co.uk

For 3 weeks from Nov 27th they're offering a Chevrolet Astrovan 7 seater for £621 all in. Obviously that might well vary depending on your travel dates...but worth a look ?

Other than that I found Airline Network to be the best deal.

Mike,

You are quite right - £621 from Nov 27th with Alamo but £677 for the gold package.

We are going in Feb and the same vehicle with Alamo gold is £696. We need gold or equivalent due to number of drivers.
On the same site they quote SELECT (never heard of them) at £653 for their equivalent of gold.

Thanx for the info but I reckon I won't get cheaper than Airline Network - unless anyone wants to tell me different!!

Regards,

I have used airline network for flights and cars (they don't seem to be as competitive with regards to accommodation - their prices are per person?!)

On each occasion the rental company has been dollar and I have had no problems.

I would recommend airline network to anyone... I have noted that if you have iapa or fastlane membership then going direct via dollar can save a few pounds of the airline network price though.

Oh, well.at least it was worth trying.

Only wish I could my better half to drive while we're over there!!
