Airline delays due to Charley??

I've heard that a family who was supposed to fly to RI on Saturday or Sunday was not able to return yet, because of the aftermath of the hurricane. They've said that they might be able to get a return flight by Tuesday.

The reports I've heard basically said flights were affected on Friday and part of Saturday. What have others heard and experienced?

The airports are up and running now and have been since yesterday.

The problem is the people who had flights cancelled on Friday or Saturday have to wait for open seats on other flights. If flights on Sunday or today were already near full, they willn't be able to accomodate everyone from Friday or Saturday. I have heard of people driving to alternate airports to get seats, such as Tampa.
