Airline Check in of a Crop in Style XXL?

Has anyone ever travelled with and checked a Crop in Style XXL with an airline? I am thinking that it probably wouldn't survive being thrown around--at least the wheels wouldn't?

I just decided to fly to a weekend crop next weekend and I think I can fit all I need in there (including clothes!) and a large carry on bag with my photos and a few other things. With baggage restrictions this would be easiest and would make cropping easier. I can put it all in a suitcase but it is so organized in the CiS!

I have checked my CM rolling tote on Southwest and had no problems. Wish I could say the same for my last luggage set.

I checked mine with Delta, I think. May have been JetBlue. No problems at all, aside from the fact that they "searched" it and broke a brand spanking new set of watercolor pencils!
