Is United at the port, also?
Unfortunately, American, Continental, Delta, Northwest, and US Airways are the only airlines who offer this service at the
DCL terminal at this time. From what I understand, this is a service provided by the airlines, and I believe United used to have a place at the port in the past. I guess United decided there wasn't enough business coming off the DCL ships to warrant having 2+ people staffing their desk at the port 3 times a week.
I guess it's just something to keep in mind when making air reservations! We flew Continental because it was the best flights (combo of price and flight times) we could find at the time we wanted to buy tickets. While I would
not recommend Continental to anyone (changed planes/seat plans without telling us, even when we checked the night before, and our seats disappeared, very rude ticket agent offered no help), it was very nice to be able to check our luggage at the port.
