Airing of Grievances – Disney World Scorecard-Kevin Yee Mice Chat. Very Interesting

Still all in all it had the MAGIC WDW seems to be losing.

Ah, but WDW WILL get that magic back with George Kalogridis taking over the reigns at WDW, following his 3 wonderful years at DL. In fact, it's already been happening slowly but surely. :)

Any specifics you're aware of?

I'll have to check out DL someday. I have clients out west and that would be a good double-dip trip.

Um Can you repeat the part of the stuff where you said all about uuhhh, the things?

I have noticed a decline in maintenance. It seems years ago, something was always painted overnight, to keep everything fresh. But now you walk through and see faded and scratched paint all over.

One of my main problems is that new does not always mean better. Disney takes out the classics and replaces them with not so classics. Example: The submarines in MK. Why did they need to go? Then they try to "improve" rides that were just fine the way they were. Example: Test Track. The new "improved" Test Track was a huge disappointment to me. People who have never had the chance to ride the old version think this one is fine, but most people I have spoken to that have ridden it before do not like the new version.

I never understood the reason that the quality of food had gone downhill, but the prevalence of people using the DDP makes sense. I know I have stopped going to some restaurants because the quality has plummeted.

I'm a "Disney Defender" . As my niece puts it I'm "one of THOSE people." I will probably continue renewing my annual passes each year, because walking down Main St still makes me smile and gives me chills. I just really wish that Disney would go back to the vision that Walt Disney had for this park.
