I am still trying to figure out what to do. I can see Philly airport from my home, but the fares are like 225.00 from here to Jax (more expensive like 330.00 to mco), so am trying to decide whether it is worth it to drive to baltimore and fly from there, but there is only a 45.00 per ticket difference, which comes to 140.00 more to spend in DW, it is a no brainer, am I analyzing it too much, what do you think!!

I have the same problem you have. MDT (Harrisburg) is only about 35 minutes from my house. Nice mid-sized airport, but to fly out of there vs. BWI it would cost me $200 more for our family of four. The added bonus is BWI has more flights and better times. It's a little farther (about an hour away), but it's worth it.

We flew out of Atlantic City (Spirit Air) in Dec (going to Miami) because it was cheaper than flying out of PHL. I will never do that again. It wasnt worth the hassle to me. Long lines, 2 hour trip home etc...I am now just really vigilant about getting a good fare from home.
Did you know SouthWest is coming here in May? I dont know when your trip is but we're waiting for the "war" when they open for business before we book for our Oct. trip. Should be interesting.

I looked at your post again to check your dates and I saw that your have in your signature 4/3-4/7 (guess SW is out). I plugged that into sidestep.com (PHL-MCO) and I came up with a flight on United for $217 (1stop) or $277 on airtran (no stops). Hope that helps.

yea I wish I could use it but I am going in April. Maybe I should check flying out of BWI and coming back into Philly. I want to go actually the 2nd and come back the 10th or 11th so still trying, thanks!!!...
