Airfares out of Boston/Manchester ??

We are travelling around 2/22/03-3/08/03. We can either
leave out of Boston, MA or Manchester, NH. If anyone sees
any flight for under $200 a person would you please post it
or email me ?

Southwest out of Manchester usually has some great rates on a non-stop direct flight to MCO... Check thier website for more info.

I've flown that flight many times... it's always been cheap, great, and arrives early, too.

What is the airport in Manchester like? On their website it looks relatively small. Someone mentioned passengers have to walk down the airplane stairs outside to get off the plane (as opposed to pulling right up to the gate). Anyone know if you do? Thanks.

LOL... it used to be like that. However, recently (within the past 10yrs... can't quite remember when) they built a brand new terminal... and even more recently, MHT has gone International. It's not a huge airport... but it is really nice. They do have real gates with jetways... a real baggage claim... a huge brand new parking garage... a small, but decent food court, oh, and curbside checkin for those who use that. Personally, I enjoy the simplicity and convenience of flying out of MHT...

Personally, I will never go to Logan again if I can help it! Of course, living in Manchester the convenience of not having to leave my home three hours early is a plus. But the airport is organized, efficient and NO, you don't have to walk out to the runways for the most part; unless, you are taking one of the small planes but that would happen at any airport. Being small, you don't feel overwhelmed.

Thank you, Poohbear! I appreciate your perspective. I guess we made the right decision to fly into Manchester rather than Logan. Ironically ourfirned lives closer to Boston, but said it was easier to get us in Manchester.

Another anti-Logan traveller checking in. We are flying SWA from Providence to MCO in January. Got in on the $79 each way promo. $525 total with all taxes, etc for DH, DS and myself. Not too shabby. Manchester is usually within $10 of the flights out of PVD on Southwest.

I had to fly out of Logan for business in October, and it was a nightmare of traffic, crowds, and the never-ending construction. If you can get a good flight out of Manchester, go for it!!!!

Am I right in assuming that Manchester is more like Green now? We love Green and haven't tried Manchester yet. We're in the Worcester area. Have to use Logan, but will be taking the shuttle bus in from Framingham. I did go to a wedding reception at Manchester Airport once!!! Well, it was a long time ago. I believe that they are both pretty equidistant from Worc. About 1 hr. Looks like I may have to motivate DH to try NH!!
