Airfare from YYZ to mco at Christmas through first week January

does anyone have experience with air fare prices from YYZ to mco at or around Christmas through the end of Christmas break? We homeschool but dd will return for high school. I will have to travel during school breaks. Thinking of a trip Dec 18/Jan 19. Have to plan ahead because of DVC and trying to figure out what to do for tickets.

I find it very pricey to fly out of yyz. I was looking for our Sept trip and it was between $1400-$1700 for the four of us.

We fly out of BUF on Southwest or Jet Blue.

We have flown over the Christmas Holidays before.
Christmas is expensive but you are leaving before the crush and coming back after the rush so maybe
you will be able to find a reasonable deal.
I would keep an eye on Air Canada and West Jet.
Currently Air Canada is posting a return time of Jan 19th.
Dec 18th----- Jan 19th direct non stop is $440.00 including taxes.
Also consider flying out of Hamilton airport--usually Sat departures.YHM airport code.

You can also use a service like Google Flights to track the prices and buy when you see something that you can live with. I get email alerts from Google flights.
You won't be able to check Southwest out of Buffalo on that service though. Go directly to their website. I don't think Southwest or Jetblue have schedules out for December/January for a few more months yet.

In winter we only fly from YYZ and have been fortunate to get some great flight deals - comparable to flying out of BUF once the exchange rate/hotel/parking are figured in...

Since the OP has some flexibility, keep in mind that flying on a Tuesday or Wednesday can mean a good savings.

Sign up for the airlines (AC, WJ,SWing, AT)weekly email for deals and sign up for the "member/account holder" emails which come periodically with personal promo codes that will get you deals.

I've often gotten Twitter deals - offered there only & have been great prices. These pop up randomly on the respective airlines Twitter feed.
