Airfare from Newark

Is $251 a good price to LAX Nonstop? The times are not ideal (early morning or evening) not good with kids. Also Newark is 2 hrs. from my house. SHould I wait for SW and get a better deal? This is for March. Help!

I live in North Jersey, and flew Jet Blue from JFK into Long Beach. Long Beach is much closer to Disney and a very small airport, no crowds to deal with. I paid much less than 251.00.
