Airfare? Does everyone have their or are you waiting?

No airfare yet for us. We generally wait until SW comes out with their late Sept. fares before booking. We also have a free voucher with USAir sitting here so I will probably have to book with them.

We are going down in late Oct. and don't have our airfare booked as yet. We can't decide if we want to fly out of Baltimore or Philadelphia. We live near Harrisburg, PA but can get no direct flights to Orlando from here and my DH said no more connecting flights as it takes us an entire day just for travel each way. Of course there is always the downside of having to drive a longer distance to the airport and then there is that loooooonnnng drive home!

We are going in November. I wanted to wait until SWA opened their Nov schedule-needed to choose between SWA and AirTran. In the mean time, AirTran raised rates!

We are going 9/16-9/23 and I am waiting for Southwest to release their dates within that time frame, they have a nonstop fight out of Buffalo. Right now AirTran also has a nonstop flight for that time frame but we flew them last september- grrrrrrr, not good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we knew we were going in August, so we waited paitently for a: Free Dining rumors and b: good fares.

When heard a few free diniing rumors, but none were for the time frame we wanted to go in, so when Southwest announced their schedule ($89 each way DIRECT flights, out first thing, home late) I called Disney and booked our trip, still holding out hope for free dining. As the CM was confirming our package on the phone, I was confirming our flights online.

SO, no free dining for us, but whith the $$ we saved on airfare this year, its ALMOST as good!

Hey Cheek ta vegas,

Are you familiar with that saying?? It is a Buffalo thing. I love southwest- they are awesome. We flew them nonstop this past december to orlando and I can't say anything bad about their services- besides they are quite funny!!! As we were landing the pilot said "WOW Nelly, please stop now- wow Nelly!!"
Buffalo airport has really improved and grown immensely...

Hey Cheek ta vegas,

Are you familiar with that saying?? It is a Buffalo thing.

hee hee, yes, I've heard it!

I think my favorite "pilot funny" was

"Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the captain speaking, soon we will be at our cruising altitude and we will be turning off the seatbelt sign. While you are free to move about the cabin, we encourage you to stay inside the aircraft at all times."

Then when we were getting ready to land " Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. I am the handsome one in behind the tiny door in the front of the aircraft. I ask that you please return your seats and tray tables to the upright and locked position and that you keep your arms and legs inisde the aircraft until we give you permission to deplane."

HE was funny!~ Lol!

Where in Buff are you? I am just 2 miles from the airport.

waiting for SW airfare but we are pretty picky, we want ONLY non stop from pittsburgh and must leave after school on 9/21, 3pm or later..........were looking at less than 700 for all of us if we book now, gonna wait one or two more days for SW.

its so stupid of SW not to release dates earlier, in a buisness sense, people are STILL going to book with them but they lose buisness doing it this way, most likely I am going airtran, non stop both ways, exact times I want, we arrive in disney at 6pm, still enough time to go see the fireworks and eat at a TS, SW has a non stop usually on Friday not getting into Orlando until like 8 or 9pm........so I will pay a few bucks extra to see Epcot at night, then go to All Star for swimming and drinks, right?

We haven't got our tickets yet, but we will also be looking for Southwest specials leaving from Portland, Oregon.

Booked ours last Saturday. $406 for 2 round trip from Akron/Canton for October.:cool1:

We booked ours!! We'll be there Aug 18-22. We booked 2 r/t flights with Delta for $370 including taxes and fees.

Today, the same flight is approx $450 for both of us!! Needless to say, I'm glad that I told dh to book when I did.

Our original flight was set for an 8a departure, but it has changed to a 7a flight. I'll get to DW a whole hour earlier!!!

our was booked last month. Jet Blue, NYC to Tampa (staying with parents of friend and we are driving to disney every morning, Tampa is closer airport). $89 each way. It usually doesnt get better than that, sometimes it goes $79 but its not too common. for may 31st flight out, june 5th return.

Haven't booked yet waiting for jet blue to post nov, prob not till next month, then it depends on price as usually in June,July the airlines post their fall specials, no rush...
still can't get ticker tape to show.

Does anyone know when Southwest should be releasing their next batch of flights?
No, but on the Transporation Board somebody has a relatively easy-to-find thread of the Southwest release history

Southwest doesn't release their schedules until they're almost positive there will be no changes. On the other hand, most of the legacy airlines - the ones that let you start buying tickets 331 days in advance - are subject to many schedule changes, flight cancellations, etc between then and a couple/few months prior to the flight.

We purchased our tickets with Disney when we booked our package. Got 5 tickets for just over $1000 on American out of DFW (Dallas). Non stop, 2 1/2 hour flight. Arrive at 11 am. Leave at 8 PM. Exactly what we wanted!

waiting for SW to come out w/ theirs for 9/22-10/1... I can't stand the wait for any of this!!
