We're leaving for WDW on 1/1. Our 20 month old grandson is coming with us on his first trip to WDW. He had major surgery in August for a sever clubfoot. He's doing great but still needs to wear a brace during the day and the shoes with the Dennis Brown bar at night and for naps. My questions is has anyone gone through security with the shoes with the Dennis Brown bar in your carry on? I'm worried about checking it in case anything happens to the luggage. He really needs to wear it. What do I do? or How do I find out if I can carry it on? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a link to the TSA's page on travellers with disabilities. If you scroll down, it talks about medical devices. I don't think there should be a problem.
