Can anyone tell me if one clears immigration in Toronto when flying to Orlando from YYZ with Air Transat?

We flew Air Transat many years ago (2010) and did not clear immigration in YYZ. Had to do it at MCO upon arrival.

No idea but I will be interested to know. We are flying with Air Transat in October. The last time I used AirTransat was for Scotland, but I've never flown to Orlando from Toronto. It's always been out of Buffalo.

I just looked on the YYZ website and found this link. It says the majority of passengers will clear customs and immigration in Toronto and travel to the U.S.A. as domestic passengers.

You obviously hit post reply moments before i did! We've flown out of terminal 3 twice using this system and it went very smoothly -- coming back was just as slick! Same process, feed your passport along with the customs form you filled out on the plane into the machine and it spit out a paper to hand to the agent at the end of the line. Pick up your luggage and then give that slip to the agent as you leave the luggage area.

Excellent! Thank you for the description. I get a little anxious when dealing with customs and security. It helps to know what we will be doing ahead of time so the process can go smoothly. :)

Any idea why a few years back we would have cleared in Orlando? It was a pain but for the price of my flight I wouldn't care.

To alert fellow Canadians. I got a January flight for just over $300. Saturday departure. Friday return.

I HATE being flustered and worrying how things will go so i'm *THAT* person who gets to the airport hours ahead of time. I would rather sit at the gate reading (or playing Candy Crush :P ) that be panicking about going through security in time. I always have things printed out (address of hotel, length of stay) so i can hand it to the agent without needing to dig through things. You can google for videos on anything anymore -- there are some great ones out there for the entire process that people have posted to help out families who have an autistic child (or a super neurotic middle-aged woman)

Trust
me, the process in Terminal 3 was almost FUN!

Hahahahaha this is ME!!!
We're always way way too early. But that keeps me from having a panic attack.. so early it is. I will watch the videos for sure!

I haven't tried the automated kiosks but when my company went down to Florida for a retreat (it's a US-based company) it took over an hour for some of my colleagues to get through security/immigration - one guy actually missed the flight.

I don't know that this is always the case but it's good justification for having a Nexus pass - I was through in under 10 minutes.

DH told me he would never go on the Amazing Race Canada with me due to my airport panick attacks LOL

When i watched this year's and heard they were going thru Union transferring from GO to VIA i started freaking out FOR THEM! That station right now is literally a train wreck -- so much construction and poorly marked directions :O

My hubby can complain all he wants over my airport anxiety but it ain't costing us the hotel the night before because he's worried about potential snow storm in January making an hour trip for a 10:30 flight impossible :P

I actually enjoy the process if i have enough time and am aware of what i'll be facing (i even give ME a dummy flight time to give me an extra HOUR there -- but we almost always take the last flight of the day so not butt-crack of stupid time)

Would you mind sharing which airline you got that deal?? I've been searching for weeks for a good deal and everything I've seen is around 500 return!

My son & his wife got both RT fares at just a tad over $600.00 for late January from YYZ -MCO on AC. I've also seen it pop up on WestJet around that as well. Fares are lower on Tue-Thur and sometimes the less than desirable slightly-red-eyeish flights. Neither airlines announced a seat sale, we just found them by daily stalking of both airlines (i got ours on Expedia and did pretty well too)

It was with Air Transat yyz to Mco in January. Returning early February.

I use flightnetwork.com and i found return flights for as low as $360 from yhz for the end of november to the first week of december 2016!
