We just got home yesterday from our trip to WDW and we took the new service that was direct on Airtran from MCO - ABE. The service just started a few days ago and I was skeptical, but it worked out really well.

The only hiccup I had in the process was not paying for my checked bag fee before going to the WDW flight check in counter, but once that was taken care of we were on our way. The flight was full (we paid only $79 one way pp) and took off and landed right on time. We even got snacks and drinks.

We live in Central/Western NJ so for us it was a few extra minutes on the highway home, but much less time at the airport since it was a small terminal unlike Newark. We also had a car service which made it even quicker.

I think we'd use this airport and airline again for any trip to WDW as long as the times work out well for us. We were really happy with how it all worked out.

Thank you!! This is good to know as we are between flying out of Newark or ABE...both are the same distance for us but ABS is less crowded! I had wondered about that airline, do you recommend checking bags?

Lisa - we are a family of 4 so we did check 2 large bags and each brought on one small carry-on. Each checked bag was $15.
