I have been watching air prices for several different airlines and the prices seem ridiculous.

Can anyone tell me what they paid last May, what they think would be a good rate to jump on for this May (15-24th)?

Southwest seems to be the only one with lower rates - but I'm a little worried about not choosing seats b.c we are traveling with an almost 3 year old and an almost 1 year old so we want to make sure we all get seats together.

With an almost 1 year old, you are eligible for family boarding, which means you board after the A's, but before the B's. You are not going to get seats together, as SW's seating configuration is 3 + 3.

Check out this thread, someone did the calculations about seating on SW

If SW has the best price, go for it! Don't forget to factor in those luggage fees when you are looking at other airlines.

We are flying SW for the first time and driving and hour to the airport. I saved over 100 per ticket and did not have to pay for Luggage and we decided to add 2 days on the end of our trip and there was no charge to change our flights. I am a little nervous about not having assigned seats but I will deal with it. Michelle

JetBlue was $69 last year, and the last few days of April this year. All of the airlines jacked the school vacation days / weeks.

There is lga, jfk, ewr and HPN....take your pick

You can pick your seats, but most will be 2 + 2 at the smaller airports

airtrain is $74 non-stop from HPN on 5/15. they haven't released the fares for return flights on 5/24 yet, but i imagine it would be similar.
