I have reading that a lot of people bring air mattresses or ship them to the resorts. Can someone tell me if there isa swap or something of these air mattresses or if people opt to throw them away. We may ship one there, haven't decided but if there is a swap of some sort that would be nice rather than buying and shipping one than throwing it away

Air mattresses pack pretty small and can easily go there and back in your suitcase. They can also be left in owners locker for next trip.

I was thinking the ones I have seen are pretty heavy and with all the airline restrictions on one bag per person and luggage fees along with the cost to store I think owners locker cost like 179.00 which is a lot unless you have a lot to store.

When I was buying an air mattress a friend told me to buy a seperate pump and mattress. In her experience one or the other would die. Mostly the mattress. She is a big camper. I did as she said and it has paid off as the puppy killed our mattress but now I only have to buy the mattress. Anyhow my point is with two pieces it would mean you can divide up the weight in suitcases. Also if one or the other breaks you might only have to fly half to/from home. Plus if you want more then one mattress the same pump will work on both.

Owners Locker is $99 a year for the standard plan and that includes one delivery per year. We love our lockers :lovestruc - I can't imagine our DVC stays without them now. Everything we need is there already :thumbsup2

We don't store an air bed as DD sleeps in the sleeper chair but other stuff we only use there plus stuff that just makes life easier/nicer

so question is this 99 a year or is it 99.00 a year and an additional setup fee of 79.00 or just 99.00?

Not all the resorts have the sleeper chair and we were thinking of trying some of the others that did not have the sleeper chair.

From OwnersLocker.com:
"How much does it cost? There is a one time Membership Fee to join Owner's Locker of $75.00 (which includes your Locker and your initial delivery/pickup which we call a Visit) and a yearly storage/delivery plan which you choose. The Standard Annual Plan costs $99.00 per year and includes storage in our climate controlled warehouse and one free Visit per year. Additional Visits are $25.00 each. The Premium Annual Plan costs $179.00 per year and includes storage in our climate controlled warehouse and unlimited visits per year."

At one point, you could get a price break (maybe a big price break) on the $75 one-time membership fee if you signed up through the DVC Member website. I just tried to check to see if it's still available, but the DVC Member website isn't working. Again.
