Before I go ahead and tell you about my experiences with them, please bear in mind that I flew business class between Fiji and LA, so it may not necessarily apply in economy.
I was really pleased with them. The planes, as I mentioned previously, are pretty new and had a clean, fresh look. There was quite an extensive entertainment catalogue, but not much in the way of animated movies. I did notice that there was stuff for little kids (like Jake and the Neverland Pirates), and stuff for adults, but not much for the in-between set. There weren't many animated movies or anything like that. The food in business class is always too fancy for me, and I probably would have preferred what they got in economy
I did fly economy on my return journey to Melbourne, but it was a smaller plane than the one they use for the longer leg so, again, my experience may be different (but you will experience this leg too of course). I'll start off with the airport, where you will have to wait it out between your flights.
I was absolutely bored to tears during my 3 hour wait. The gate lounge is in an inner part of the building, so you can't even see the planes or the view outside. There is one central cafe serving mainly overpriced junk, and I heard mixed reviews from those I eavesdropped on

There are no charging points or anything like that, and wifi is available for a charge. I thought about buying it, but I wasn't sure about the security of the network for entering my credit card details, and without charging points, it wouldn't have lasted long anyway. There are about half a dozen shops around the edge of the lounge selling the usual duty free items as well as some Fiji souvenirs. There was one toilet for the whole lounge, which had a constant line. I had to wait for at least 5 minutes, probably closer to 10. Boarding takes forever because they do another bag check as you approach the plane. On a positive note, they brought a Fijian singing group out to entertain the people waiting in line.
Now onto the actual plane/flight. The plane was nice again - clean and fresh cabin and comfy enough seating. It certainly wasn't the least leg room I've ever had. Coming from business class, the entertainment screen was tiny! But did the job. There was a very small selection of entertainment options for this flight - only 2 movies to choose from (one of which I'd already watched on another flight), and a few TV shows of only 2 episodes each. I don't remember what the food was, but I remember enjoying it.
Between all my flights with them (2 longer legs in business and one shorter one in economy), I had a mixed bag with service. I think it depends who you get. Some of the flight attendants seemed to work in 'Fiji time', and would bring you a drink half an hour after you asked for one. Some were onto it straight away. I got the same in business, although of course there was a higher ratio of staff to customers there so it wasn't so much of an issue.
Overall, I was happy enough with them, and would definitely be willing to fly with them again for a significant saving over other airlines.
