Air Canada flights - and cruise (Caribbean and Mediterranean)

Has anyone gone on a Disney booked Air Canada flight from Canada, in conjunction with a Caribbean cruise. I ask, because we are thinking of doing this with the Meditteranean cruise next summer.

The questions are:

i) what was the fare of Air Canada flights - was it cheaper than the most economical fare you could have obtained, if you had booked directly with Air Canada, and/or through a travel agent? (ie is it worth booking through Disney, at least from a cost point of view)?

ii) were transfers included as part of the combo airfare/cruise fare - or did you have to pay for the transfers separately.

iii) was the fare of a type that you got Aeroplan miles. Were they non-status miles (ie did not count towards upper tier status with Aeroplan) or status miles?

In may my wife and myself did a Disney/Cruise Honeymoon to the eastern Caribbean.

We flew WestJet down and took the Magical express to Disney, spent 5 days there and then rented a car with GPS and had no problems getting to the Cruise ship. If your taking a DCL (Disney Cruise Line) they have land and sea packages available which I believe would include transfers from Disney to the ship!

If your not going on DCL what you would have to do is take the ME back to the airport and then take a transfer from the Airport to the Ship! All the Major cruse lines had transportation from the Airports to the ships.

I priced out everything from online and then from a travel agent! there was no big difference, the nice thing about the travel agent is they can normally get you some upgrades and if something goes wrong they will get it fixed ASAP! If you book yourself you don't have that added protection!
