hi has anyone flown with air 2000 from glasgow to florida and if so what was the flight like and did it have seat back tv's ect , i have just booked for may next year and this is who im flying with

cheers for any info margaret.

Sorry I'm not going to be too much help, but we're booked to fly with them from Gatwick at Christmas (much to our dismay I may add but that story is too long and still raw) and were advised that they didn't have seat back TV's on our flight only large screens.

Have you tried their web site Air 2000 it doesn't have a lot of info but you may find some help or an Email address at least.

Flown with them twice in last 2 years, from Manchester, - no seat back tvs. Recommend you upgrade to premier cabin if possible, as leg room in the back was poor.

Mike what is the premier cabin service like?. We've booked this but have no ideas as to what i gives you.

Des - Premier included later check-in (although I think with current security levels you're as well going early) and there was a special desk just for Prem clients (both uk and sanford), you load first when boarding starts, seats are wider and further apart and all your drinks, incl. alcohol are free and on demand. Better menu than the rear cabins, too. Your baggae allowance is higher (33kg) and bags are loaded last and off first.. this does actually seem to work. Cost of about £150 each was WELL worth it!!

To add to what Mike says:

you get table top dvd players and can pick 3 movies at a time.

While food is better than standard class, don't get too carried away!!

The Premier cabin holds 36 or so passengers and the window seats are two abreast. You definitely get more leg room and seats are nice and wide.

Without any question it's worth an extra £150 return for Premier seats, although there is very little difference in getting through customs at Sanford.

The check-in desk will save you a LOT of time, the queues at Sanford for our return flight were horrendous for standard class.....we just stepped straight up and were sorted in minutes!! Worth it for that alone.

We flew from Manchester with Air 2000 in february and were not impressed- the large tv screen is very difficult to see if you are a few rows back and there is no choice of films. The food was poor and refreshments were limited- you have to pay for any drinks apart from with your meal. We saw some people had brought their own snacks and drinks on board and would recommend you do this and a good book too!

On our return flight we were upgraded to premium economy so we did get free drinks and an extra snack - but I don't know about the dvd players there was none on our flight - the entertainment was the same as in economy and still as difficult to see.

Sorry it's so pessimistic but at least you can prepare in advance as we had two hungry bored kids and were not prepared for the poor level of service!

Thanks for all the info.

I must admit, its as we feared it would be, we booked through Britannia being told it was one of their planes, then got a letter a few weeks laster saying it was Air2000:mad: was most unimpressed.

I think when we phoned up to query swap of company they mentioned personal DVD players had been withdrawn due to "technical difficulties"

I'd already planeed to take our own portable DVD player to keep DS occupied, but of course battery life will only allow for about 1 film and didn't have the foresight at the time to get an additional battery which of course are now unavailable  as Tiny went belly up
