Ahhhhh.... This is why I love DVC

So, the website (DVC, My Disney Experience etc) all had issues this morning, while trying to get my ADR in (before 6 am CST no less). That is not a DVC issue, but I had to get that out of the way and it has material impact to my loving being a DVC member.
Anyway, so I called the (non DVC) reservation line and told them about the site issues. They were apologetic, and were able to make my reservations for the "first" part of my split reservation. However, they are now blocked from linking together split stay reservations (or so I was told).
So..... I called DVC around 10 am. EXCELLENT rep (I have talked to several DVC CM and EVERY single experience has been fantastic). It takes them all of 10 mins to get ALL my reservations set up for the entire stay. This included getting BOG at 7 pm and Crystal Palace at 8am for the latter part of my stay (Yay).
I know I would be out of luck if I was not a DVC member. I would have to call in or log in (shudder) 4 days from today (to be within the 180 for my second reservation) and doubt I would have got BOG or CP.
A little bit of positivity. Needed that after the Website issues.
Whew..... I am done.

That's interesting. We always do split stays so lately it's been annoying having to go back and try to book the ADR's for the second half of the stay, especially as many of the popular restaurants have no remaining availability. I'll have to try MS next time. I guess I knew they could schedule ADR's but just never thought to call them. I wonder if they have some work-around to book all the ADR's for a split stay or if the system recognizes the DVC reservations as one trip.

Thanks for the info, I had the same issues. By the time I went online for the 2nd part of our trip, BOG was gone I will have to try that our next split stay.

We called MS at 9 for both of our split stays for 2nd half. Problem is that you loose 3 hours of booking ADRS since other folks can make them at 6am online!
