and I was just wondering how often you guys get to go to the beach during the summer. One day my S.S. teacher asked us if we could imagine not living near the ocean and I thought about it and it would be just too weird to me. But anyways I went to a new beach today that's not an ocean beach just a lake beach, but it had like an old-fashioned arcade and a dock and slides and stuff. And my friend's mom lives practically ON the beach!! There's nothing like the beach at the ocean, but sometimes a lake is nice for a change. (My dad thinks that the pretty much the only kinda beach is the ocean and we were htere like a week ago, and I agree nothing beats boogie boardin but stilllllllll lol).

I practically never go to the beach. There are a few in the area, but I'd rather shop, play basketball, or go to some party up here than go swimming in Lake Michigan. Every once in a while my friends and I will go down to the beach and throw rocks in! lol! It's pretty fun!

Well, I go to the beach a lot because I live across the street from Tampa Bay so I ride my bike down to the park to swim, or I can go to the gulf which is like 10 miles west of my house. But both the bay and the gulf suck so I only get to go to a real beach on the Atlantic like 3 times a year.

I go to the beach fairly often- like 3 weeks in the summer, Labor Day weekend, Memorial Day weekend, and other times in the winter when it is just too cold!! I live outside of Philadelphia and we have a house in Southern NJ so that's why we go a lot.. :)

I hardly ever go to the beach. There are a few lake beaches in Ohio and there's Lake Erie, but we'd have to drive for a few hours to get to any of them and I'd rather go to a REAL beach anyways. The only time we go is when we go to WDW, cuz my aunt and uncle live in Naples, and we always go visit them. They live like 10 minutes away from the beach.

well I DO live on an island so I have my choice of beaches. but I hate the beach, too sandy and gross. Get me to a pool:D

oh I live like an hour from the beach but never go...the Gulf of Mexico has to be the grossest water on this whole entire earth...its just dark and cloudy...if i lived by the atlantic or pacific I woudl go to the beach more often.

Well I usually go to the beach every year in the summer for 2 weeks. But we go to Disney about every 3 to 4 years and when we go to Disney, we don't go down the shore. So we're not going down the shore this year (but that's ok, I'd much rather be at Disney!!!!)

Yesterday, me and my friend threw on our bathing suits, and hopped in my brand new red convertible(Its sweet) and drove an hour and a half to Sylvan Beach, which is actually on some lake. We had a blast. I grew up in Sarasota on the Gulf of Mexico, and I love the Gulf so much, alot more than the Atlantic.

Ahhh, the beach:

Drive for several hours to get there, where there's no sand and its covered in sharp pebbles. The sea is about 2 degrees (if you're lucky), and full of sewage. The salty air and wind mess up your hair (do the words 'bird's nest' mean anything to you?), and sea gulls steal all your possessions. The only thing you can do is go in the amusement arcades, which will take your life savings in about a minute.

Things are different in America, huh?

;)
