Hi all,
I will be headed down in 2 weeks for a short weekend trip and our only time in the park will be for MNSSHP. We do plan to be there at 4 pm and maximize the time. The party is me, DD (5.5 yr), DS (3.5 yr), DM (75 and with a bum back), DS & DBIL. I have been before for 1 or 2 day trips with my daughter who is exceedingly active and never even thought to rent a stroller. My son went for his first time in the spring and basically insisted that he be carried but at least I had my DH as an option on that trip.
So...I think I need a stroller because (i) I am solo parenting this time and don't want to put the burden to carry anyone on DS or DBIL, although they would happily do it and (ii) with it being a late night for my early to bed kiddos, I like the option of them having a home base to rest and potentially even fall asleep so we can stay later and enjoy the party.
Everything I read says to go with outside vendors but with this being a one day rental, a Disney double is the cheapest option (I do need a double because when DD sees DS in the stroller, she will then want to be with him) and I actually like that I can just pick it up at the park and not have to deal with it otherwise - we're staying Poly so I like no stroller on monorail or the boat.
Are they THAT uncomfortable? Would a blanket pad help? Will exhausted kids have a chance of falling asleep in it or no? We use a Bob double at home.
TIA for your experiences.
