I will be on vacation for 2 weeks starting on Sat July 24-

1 week at the cottage ( Yes, Scratch....a REAL cottage) and then we are driving to the East Coast for 1 week ,
I hear the Tall Ships will be in Halifax at that time, and we've never been out east, so this year we thought we'd go.

I'll be on holidays first week in August. We have an 18 yr old coming from England to spend 2 wks with us. We are taking her to Niagara and Ottawa all in the same week!

Yes, they will be here...and a few of them are going right by my living room and family room windows

Have a great time 'down home' and enjoy the Tall ships. Many years ago ( and I won't say how many ) I lived in Halifax. My first two years were in the Wardroom, ( officers mess) overlooking the harbour and after that in an apartment right on the water between the two bridges. Ships of all kinds were in and out of the harbour, but the best ships were the Navy ones bringing our guys home.
There is something very wonderful about our eastern provinces and their people, it is a feeling that I have never felt anywhere else in Canada. They say some people never feel it and some feel it right away....I was one of the luckey ones, I felt it almost instantly. Its like coming home after a long trip away.....
